Boudoir and Fine Art Nude | Wellington Body Positive Photographer
For the record this is a self portrait. What you see is what you get with me. I am plus size, luscious sized whatever you chose to call it. For some people this helps set them at ease knowing that there isn’t a judgy skinny 20 year old looking them up and down while they are photographed. Because lets face it. The scariest part of getting a boudoir shoot is feeling incredibly vulnerable and you want to avoid feeling judged like the plague. Well that is what sets our studio apart. I celebrate everybody in my studio. Skinny 20 year olds up to rolly and wizened members of the grey roots club. Each one of them is a treasure.
The most memorable boudoir shoot I had was with a 78 year old lady who looked at me cheekily as she laid starkies on the studio’s beautiful white bed and said…”I’m going to give this one to my son so that he can put it on my funeral pamphlet” This is my kind of chick.

Most women come in for a normal photoshoot and are so into it and relaxed by the end of the shoot that they decide they will do a bucket list thing and have a tasteful boudoir session. What I have observed is that the women who reach this point discover that they are so thrilled with the results that about 90% of the images they invest in are the ones with the least amount of clothes and it always surprises them.
I have spent the last 20 years learning the subtle art of relaxing you (first as an obstetrical nurse…if I can help a woman relax enough to get a baby out of her then I can help you get your mojo out). 8 years ago I stepped out of the delivery wards and into my NZIPP studio where I have been studying the fine art of posing to show off all of your best bits, and diminishing those bits that you struggle with.
You don’t need to diet or work out or turn back time to make one of these sessions beautiful and special. You just need to show up 100% you. Because babe…well, you are enough.

Our studio is located in Te Marua in Upper Hutt and has a beautiful private garden, river, and waterfall on the property. You will be able to do naturalistic nude shots as well as indoor beautiful photography. The amount of clothes you wear is entirely up to you.

p.s. We do offer couples boudoir as well…however men’s pants will need to stay on 🙂 These are sensual as opposed to sexual shots…I’m sure you understand the subtlety there.
